About Allison M. Garcia

Allison M. Garcia was born in a small town you’ve probably never heard of in Upstate New York. Her childhood was spent delving into stories through books, television, and movies. She could listen to her grandpa tell stories of his Italian upbringing for hours. This fueled her love of storytelling into adulthood, where her Disney obsession led to a decade-long career with the Mouse. It wasn’t until she left Disney that she decided to fully commit to her love of writing and return to school. She will graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University. She also plans to continue and complete her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. When she isn’t reading or writing, you can find her dishing about books with her Bookish friends, playing with her rambunctious Australian Shepherd, Rocket, or hiking through her backyard woods pretending she’s taking the Ring to Mordor.

An ornate, ancient-looking key forged from brushed silver metal, its bow shaped like an intricate crown entwined with tiny hidden creatures, resting on a velvet-lined black jewelry box on a stone windowsill of a high castle tower. Subtle mermaid-inspired details appear as a refined, scaled texture along the key’s handle and a faint reflection of underwater light ripples across the stone surface, with cool teal and deep-sea blue accents in the ambient light. No obvious mermaid figures, keeping the mood mysterious, realistic, and in line with a sophisticated YA fantasy brand.
A detailed, hand-illustrated fantasy map laid flat on an aged oak table, its parchment surface showing a sprawling kingdom divided into hidden realms, with mountains, enchanted forests, and tiny crowned citadels inked in precise dark lines and muted jewel-toned washes. Subtle mermaid-inspired influences appear as faint, wave-like linework along coastal borders and a soft overlay of underwater light ripples at one corner of the map, with gentle seafoam and deep-ocean blue accents. No literal mermaid drawings, preserving a sophisticated, realistic YA fantasy aesthetic that complements existing branding.
A secluded stone alcove library carved into a castle wall, every shelf meticulously filled with mismatched, jewel-toned books whose spines are stamped with tiny crowns, mythical animals, and arcane symbols. In the center sits a small reading pedestal supporting an elegantly bound manuscript labeled “Kingdom of the Hidden – Manuscript Draft,” its pages edged in gold. Subtle mermaid-inspired details appear as a delicate scaled motif embossed along the manuscript’s spine and a cool wash of underwater light filtering through a high slit window, casting teal and deep-blue ripples along the stone. The style remains intimate, secretive, and sophisticated, with no obvious mermaid figures, perfect for a YA fantasy author’s about or process page.
