About Allison M. Garcia

Allison M. Garcia was born in a small town you’ve probably never heard of in Upstate New York. Her childhood was spent delving into stories through books, television, and movies. She could listen to her grandpa tell stories of his Italian upbringing for hours. This fueled her love of storytelling into adulthood, where her Disney obsession led to a decade-long career with the Mouse. It wasn’t until she left Disney that she decided to fully commit to her love of writing and return to school. She will graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University. She also plans to continue and complete her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. When she isn’t reading or writing, you can find her dishing about books with her Bookish friends, playing with her rambunctious Australian Shepherd, Rocket, or hiking through her backyard woods pretending she’s taking the Ring to Mordor.

A refined writer’s workspace set within a fantasy tower study, featuring a sleek dark wood desk with clean lines, a modern black fountain pen, and a minimalist notebook embossed with a subtle crowned emblem. An open laptop displays a blurred manuscript page titled “Kingdom of the Hidden – YA Fantasy.” Subtle mermaid-inspired accents appear as a soft overlay of underwater light ripples along the desk surface and cool teal and deep-sea blue reflections along the laptop’s edges, with a faint scaled texture in the notebook’s emblem. The composition stays contemporary and sophisticated, with no obvious or cartoonish mermaids, perfect for a YA fantasy author’s blog or writing-advice section.
Book cover Kingdom of the Hidden a novel by Elara Vance with an underwater mermaid.
A richly detailed, leather-bound YA fantasy novel titled “Kingdom of the Hidden” resting half-open on a dark walnut writing desk, its gilded spine and embossed crest catching the light. Around the book lie scattered parchment maps, a gleaming silver quill, and a delicately carved wooden bookmark shaped like a crown. Subtle mermaid-inspired details appear as an elegant scaled motif in the book’s embossed crest and a faint pattern of underwater light ripples across the desk surface, with hints of sea-glass teal and deep-ocean blue in the color accents. The style is realistic, atmospheric, and sophisticated, with no obvious mermaid figures, ideal for a primary book cover-style image on a YA fantasy author homepage.
